Louchavan Lemard, Co-Founder and Director of PH247, has helped trainee plumbers at Euston Skills Centre in London get professional plumbing and heating kit. The equipment was first used at the World Plumbing Conference earlier this year. Louchavan volunteers at the centre and helped arrange the donation.

The Plumber Awards covered the story on 15 September 2026. Read The Plumber Awards article on Louchavan’s work since his win.

A busy few months since June

In June, Louchavan was named National Plumber of the Year 2026 at The Plumber Awards, the first year the awards have run. Read about his National Plumber of the Year win.

In August he was elected to the CIPHE Board of Trustees. In September, PH247 was named Client Protection Plumbing & Heating Company of the Year 2026. Louchavan was also honoured at the Master Plumber Awards 2025. Our awards page has the full list.

Where the kit came from

The World Plumbing Conference came back to the UK in 2026, its first time here since 2011. The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) organised it.

During the conference, CIPHE held an invite-only UK Skills Forum at InstallerSHOW 2026. Tradespeople from 16 countries tested their skills there, using tools and materials donated by manufacturers including Rothenberger, Knipex, Fernox and Hinton Tools.

After the event, CIPHE wanted the kit to go somewhere useful. It worked with International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (IWSH), a global social impact group, to find it a new home.

How the kit reached Euston

Louchavan already volunteers with students at Euston Skills Centre, so he knew where the kit was needed. He linked the centre with CIPHE and IWSH, and the equipment went to Euston.

Students now train on professional-grade tools in the workshop. They also take the kit out on live projects near the college.

Euston is in Camden, one of the London boroughs we cover. If you live or work nearby, see our page on plumbers in Camden.

Why we back new plumbers

Louchavan came into the trade as an apprentice. He won Apprentice of the Year at Level 2 and Level 3, and he now helps the next group of trainees get started.

We have written about our plumbing and heating apprenticeships and why skilled trades are hard to replace with AI.

Louchavan also runs a GoFundMe campaign that helps young adults get work experience. Support Louchavan’s work experience campaign on GoFundMe.
